Chain Drug Review - Clarinex-D is cleared for treatment of allergies
The Food and Drug Administration has approved Clarinex-D, a nondrowsy antihistamine formulated with a decongestant. According to manufacturer Schering-Plough Corp., a unique gel control delivery system in the product provides effective 24-hour relief from symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis. The drug, available in April, is indicated for patients age 12 and older.
